School closed for all but key worker and identified vulnerable individuals from Tuesday 5th January.
Following the Government announcement at 8pm this evening, St Cuthbert’s will only be open from tomorrow for Key Worker and Vulnerable children during this national lock down.
All teachers will be in school tomorrow, so any children who fall into the Key Worker or Vulnerable groups, please just arrive in the morning and then will need to be collected at the end of the day as instructed at the drop off time and place in the email sent out earlier this afternoon. No email to request a place is required for tomorrow. If your child has a school meal this will be provided as normal.
Thank you to those of you who have emailed already to say that your child will be attending as a key worker child. A parent mail form will be sent tomorrow for all parents to confirm their child’s attendance from Wednesday onwards. Once numbers are confirmed, bubble and staffing arrangements will be shared.
Our full home learning packages for children remaining at home will be sent out by 4pm tomorrow to begin on Wednesday. This will include a timetable and letter outlining Zoom meetings between teachers and their classes.
Learning activities for Tuesday will be sent out by 10am.
As this government decision has come very late in the evening, your patience and understanding is very much appreciated as we put all our plans into action over the course of tomorrow.
I would like to reassure you that all staff have worked extremely hard to have plans ready for all possible eventualities including a lock down and full details will be shared with you as soon as possible.
Thank you for your support
