Useful information

Where will we be?

We are based in the first classroom on the right as you enter the side gate into the Key stage 1 playground. We have a large room with a smaller side room for quiet times and focussed groups.  We have access to a secure outside playground with fencing and a canopy so that we can have activities outside in all weathers.

What to wear?

Comfortable clothes that are easy to get on and off would be most appreciated by your child and by the Pre-school staff, and we recommend just basic leggings/joggers for Pre-school clothes, something comfortable and easy to change into.

Later in the Autumn term we would like to introduce a uniform which would consist of a red polo shirt embroidered with the Pre-School logo (to be designed). We will then recommend black tracksuit trousers/leggings and black shoes/trainers for indoor use.

Other Equipment

Your child will need a pair of Wellington boots and a good quality waterproof jacket, to keep at school.

Food and Snacks

Children attending for the full school day may bring a healthy packed lunch.

A hot meal can be provided at a cost of £2.55 per day or £12.75 per week. All hot meals meet nutritional guidelines and are provided by LTS catering.

Milk at School

All children are entitled to a 1/3 carton of milk each day.  This is free for children until the Friday before their fifth birthday after which a charge is made.

The scheme is administered by and you will need to register your child with them.

Fruit at School

All half day sessions and full day sessions include a morning and/or afternoon snack.  This can be fruit, milk or other healthy snack. Children are encouraged to bring one healthy snack from home if they are staying for the full school day.  One snack session (morning or afternoon session), will be provided by school.

Water is available throughout the day. Children are encouraged to bring in a named water bottle which will be refilled throughout the day
